PRIMITIVE FOLK ART DOLL  CAROL A MANNING ARNETT"S COUNTRY STORE JULIANNE 18" (G1 00H)
Arnett's Country Store RARE Primitive Doll "Julianne" Rag resin/cloth Doll.  #578/4000 - includes certificate.
It is important to note that her clothing and body have been designed to look aged.
Rag body with gravel type material inside which allows for easy positioning, some kind of molded wood resin head, hands and feet - ends of some fingers cut short.
The original of this "Almost Old" Doll was sculptured by Carol A. Manning who grew up in a small town in Louisiana. Since most of her family were artists, she, too took an interest in all forms of art at a very young age. Being a very talented portrait artist sculpting dolls came easy to her. "Julianne" is a limited edition #578/4000 reproduced in a wood resin/cloth and hand painted. Painted facial features and hair.  Her clothes and body fabric are made to look old, she measures approximately 18 inches tall. She is wearing bloomers, a blue and white print dress with a blue and white striped apron and a white bonnet.  A great very nice collectible artist doll for the collector.
